Went for a light lunch with my friend and we love the food! And smoothie! One of the best I have ever had (apart of those I make at home). Good food for a good price with a nice ambience and staff. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends!!!.

Amazing Haggis (with whisky sauce of course) for a reasonable price (£8.50, sauce - £1.20). Our tour guide told us about this place and we will definitely be back

Really enjoyed lunch here, haggis and mash with I think it was red wine sauce. Stag kept up even though it was busy during the Fringe. Only slight minus is I thought it was a little bit expensive for what it was.

Called in twice. First time for afternoon tea between shows. Had a very fine Earl Grey. Good strength tea. Nice cafe, very friendly staff. Had been up Salisbury Crags and Arthurs Seat and was ravenous. Called back for lunch on the final day in Edinburgh. Somehow we'd avoided the haggis supper. Not today. We dived straight in with a creamy whisky sauce. My mate has gluten and dairy intolerance, not a problem - vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free haggis, tatties, neeps and whisky sauce which he said was excellent. Mine contained all the "badness" and was probably the best I've ever had. The presentation was amazing, the flavours and textures absolutely out there. Fortunate to arrive when we did to get the seats. Staff very helpful with my friend and good conversation with the pretty Aussie lady serving. Decent prices for the quality and location. Very impressed all round. Gluten and dairy-free options a massive bonus as finding somewhere my mate can eat is sometimes very tricky.
